    This spot was cute, casual, had strong drinks and good amounts of food. Tried the Palermo and the shrimp tacos. Both were good. The cocktail wasn't overly sweet or sour, so it was refreshing. Food was a bit small. Good for me but could be too little for others. Service was generally good.

    Would recommend, I'm never in Astoria visited Sweet Afton on a date. Service was great very attentive, friendly and gave good recommendations. Drinks were made perfectly not too strong or weak, the dirty pickle does have that pickle juice taste but if you're ordering it I'm sure that's what you're into. Fried chicken sandwich was good, the flavors are there but the coleslaw overpowered the chicken and made the breading soggy so the crispiness wasn't there anymore. I wasn't a fan of the bread on the sandwich either tasted too buttery, I ended up removing it.

    Decided on sweet Afton after a late night event for some quick eats and beers. The place was really busy for a sat night and even had a live Dj playing classic hip hop hits. I got the fried chicken sandwich which I thought would have been bulkier cut kinda like a sweet chick breast but it was a more slimmed down cutlet almost similar to a schnitzel. I added bacon to mine and it was prepared on a thick almost grilled cheese toast. I can't lie as good as it was there was almost too much happening. I think if I got it again I'd tell them to not grill the bread that way due to the added slaw/ after the sandwich sat the bread did sog a bit because of the already soft buttered texture. The staff were friendly and decor was cool.
